I believe there's a fable on this subject, though in the end she was found out a princess for an insurmountable amount of pillows.

So, I think that means there is no such thing as too many, at least if you are a princess. I've always found that moral a little strange.

Good point about the princess. That's Princess and the Pea, isn't it? I remember reading that as a kid. Not one of my favourite stories.

The pillow fort is looking a little pathetic but I was thinking of stealing the couch cushions to add to it.

As for the Princess and the Pea, I don't know if there really is a moral to that story. If there is, I agree - I don't really know what it was trying to relate.

There are worse impressions to be made than pillow forts, I assure you. Don't forget that comforters make a great floor.

Perhaps that your true self will be revealed despite appearances, but that's a bit of a stretch.

Such is the way with much famous literature. Perhaps the message you can make is most important in the end.

It's an optimistic reading on any historical literature anyway, and one I think works for peace of mind.

It wasn't an easy week if I'm being honest.

You managed to avoid the worst of it I hope?

I can't say that's a surprise, considering all I've heard of these abductions. As for me, I was nowhere near Olympia when the worst of it started. To that end, I suffered little.

Those I know were not so fortunate. ( and she hates that she was not there until it was already too late. )

Well I'm glad to hear you were out of harm's way. I wouldn't wish that experience on an enemy let alone a good friend.

It seems it would be a bold claim to insist they would have trouble harming me, when they managed to harm so many. All the same, I wish I had been here. Close enough to do something. Even though I appreciate your wish for my safety.

The only problem with normalcy, however, is that there really isn't one on this planet. He might be figuring out the parts he likes and the ones he doesn't, but every day he's reminded of his status here.

Our kidnappers had been planning this for a while and the rescue missions were difficult, so I'd heard.

Depends on your definition, I suppose. I think he is troubled by what he saw — those he was sent to help were brainwashed to attack their rescuers. He talked a great many down and not all he managed to reach.

That and a few bruises, but those tend to fade easier, I find.

It's the wounds other than the physical that take a hell of a lot longer to heal, that's no question.

I'll check in on him. I've been meaning to do that with a few people here, you included.
